17일부터 각 시설 경계선에서 30m 이내까지 금연

세종시보건소(소장 강민구)가 개정된 국민건강증진법에 따라 오는 17일부터 어린이집,월드컵 2차예선 일유치원,월드컵 2차예선 일초·중·고등학교의 금연 구역을 확대·신설한다고 14일 밝혔다.

이에 따라 기존 어린이집,월드컵 2차예선 일유치원 시설 경계선에서 10m 이내였던 금연 구역이 30m 이내까지 확대되며 학교 시설 경계 30m 이내는 신규 금연 구역으로 지정됐다.

다만‘세종시 간접흡연 피해 방지 조례’를 적용받는 유치원·학교는 출입문에서 직선거리로 50m까지가 절대보호구역으로 지정돼 있어 현행대로 흡연이 금지된다.

시 보건소는 개정된 사안을 반영해 관내 어린이집 307곳,유치원 65곳,월드컵 2차예선 일학교 104곳을 금연 구역으로 고시했다.

또 시설 주변에는 관련 홍보 현수막을 게시하고 이달 말까지 출입구,월드컵 2차예선 일울타리 등에 금연 안내 표지판을 설치하는 등 홍보를 이어나갈 계획이다.

강민구 세종시보건소장은 "오는 17일부터 확대되는 금연 구역에서 흡연 시 10만 원 이하의 과태료가 부과될 수 있으니,월드컵 2차예선 일우리 아이들의 건강한 교육환경을 위해 시민들의 많은 협조를 부탁드린다"고 말했다.
