1일 업계에 따르면 미국 시카고대 경영대학원 발레리 니콜라예프 교수팀은‘거대언어모델(LLM)을 통한 재무제표 분석’논문을 공개했다.

니콜라예프 교수팀은 1만5401개 기업의 최근 수십년간 재무제표 15만여건을 익명화해 챗GPT LLM‘GPT-4’에 넣고,프리미어리그 2부3단계에 걸쳐 재무제표를 분석하고 미래 실적 방향을 예측하라고 지시했다.

AI가 내놓은 실적 예측의 정확도를 집계해 보니,60.35%로 나타났다.애널리스트들이 실적발표 한 달 뒤 내놓은 미래 실적 평균 예측 정확도 52.71%보다 앞서 있었다.

인간 투자 전문가들보다 실적 예측 정확도가 높다는 결과다.

또한,프리미어리그 2부니콜라예프 교수팀은 챗GPT 분석 결과를 토대로 투자전략을 세워 시뮬레이션을 했을 때,프리미어리그 2부이전 AI 모델보다 훨씬 더 높은 수익률을 올렸다고 발표했다.

이에 따라 개인‧기관 투자자 입장에선 AI를 활용해 재무제표와 기업가치를 분석할 때 도움이 될 것으로 전망된다.AI 기반 로보어드바이저 서비스 발전에도 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수 있다.
