충남 아산시는‘자율주행 인지 및 운행안전(SOTIF) 성능 검증 기반 구축 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

‘운행안전(SOTIF)’이란 고장 또는 외부 침입이 아닌 역광 등 기상 조건 및 이미지 오인식 등 주변 환경에 대한 인식 성능의 한계로 인한 위험을 방지하기 위한 국제표준이다.

시는 자율주행의 핵심기술인 인지성능 한계 등에 대한 대처능력 검증을 통해 자율주행 산업의 기술경쟁력을 확보하기 위해 국비 100억 원을 확보하는 등 총 143억 원을 투입해 이번 사업을 추진한다.

주요 사업은 자율주행 운행안전(SOTIF) 검증을 위한 검증 단계별 장비 구축(11종),컴투스 프로야구 2024 퀴즈 35시뮬레이션 모델 등 플랫폼 구축,컴투스 프로야구 2024 퀴즈 35기술 지도 등 기업 지원,컴투스 프로야구 2024 퀴즈 35전문가 양성 등으로 충남도와 함께 한국자동차연구원을 주관기관으로 2027년 12월까지 추진한다.

앞서 지난 3일에는 온양제일호텔에서 한국자동차연구원 주관으로 자율주행 관련 산학연 60여 명이 참여한 자율주행 운행안전(SOTIF) 기술세미나를 개최하며 본격적인 사업 추진 환경을 조성했다.

시 관계자는 “자율주행 산업은 아산시가 새롭게 도약할 수 있는 신기술"이라며 "이번 사업을 통해 관련 기업들이 글로벌 기술경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
