(서울=연합뉴스) 한지은 기자 = SK하이닉스는 지난달 27일 서울 광진구 워커힐 아카디아에서 '넥스트 쉬프트 생물다양성 포럼'을 열고 생물다양성 보전에 인공지능(AI) 기술을 활용하는 방안을 논의했다고 1일 밝혔다.

SK하이닉스는 6월 '환경의 달'을 맞아 국내 서식하는 6만여종의 생물에 대한 빅데이터를 AI 기술에 접목해 생태계 모니터링 및 관련 연구 활성화에 기여하고자 이번 포럼을 열었다.

행사에는 SK하이닉스,정선 카지노 앵벌이마이크로소프트,숲과나눔재단 관계자와 함께 환경부 국립생물자원관 이재호 연구관,정선 카지노 앵벌이상명대 생명공학전공 김창배 교수 등 40여명이 참석했다.

참석자들은 생태계 관찰 정보 수집과 데이터베이스 체계화,시민 과학자들이 AI 기술을 활용하는 데 필요한 역량,정선 카지노 앵벌이국가 생물다양성 보전 활동에 적용할 수 있는 AI 기술 연계 프로젝트 등을 주제로 논의했다.

이재호 연구관은 "AI 기술 도입은 생물다양성 모니터링 활동과 자연보전에 새로운 길을 열어줄 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.

김창배 교수는 "이번 포럼을 시작으로 AI 기술이 생물다양성 연구의 효율성을 극대화하고,생태계 보전에 새로운 전환점을 제공할 수 있길 바란다"고 밝혔다.

조성봉 SK하이닉스 부사장(ESG 추진 담당)은 "생물다양성 보전에 AI 기술을 적용하고 다양한 이해관계자와 협력해 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영을 선도하겠다"고 말했다.
