환경친화적 자동차의 개발·보급 촉진에 관한 법률 개정안 대표 발의

[울산=뉴시스]구미현 기자 = 국민의힘 김상욱 의원(울산 남구갑)은 전기차 화재에 대비하는 '환경친화적 자동차의 개발 및 보급 촉진에 관한 법률' 일부개정법률안을 대표 발의했다고 12일 밝혔다.

현행 법률에선 공공건물 및 공중이용시설,노우라이 마사지젤공동주택 등에 환경친화적 자동차 충전시설과 전용 주차구역을 설치하도록 하고 있다.

그러나 최근 인천 대단지 아파트 지하 주차장에서 대규모 전기차 화재가 발생하는 비극이 벌어지면서 소방설비에 대한 경각심이 커지고 있다.

전기차 특성상 화재가 발생하면 열 폭주 등의 이유로 진압이 어렵고,노우라이 마사지젤주차구역이 대부분 지하에 있어 소방차의 진입이 어렵다는 지적도 나온다.

김 의원이 발의한 개정안에는 시설 소유자가 환경친화적 자동차 충전시설을 설치하는 경우에 자동화재탐지설비 및 화재 알림 설비,노우라이 마사지젤소화설비 등의 소방시설을 설치하도록 했다.

김 의원은 “최근 잇달아 발생한 전기차 화재 비극으로 배터리의 위험이 일상으로 다가왔다”며 “전기차 충전시설에 소방설비를 내실 있게 갖추어 대형 화재를 예방해야 한다”고 말했다.
