메리츠증권은 지난 8일 심사기획팀장인 이 상무를 경영지원실 경영지원본부장에 선임했다.지난달 말 김종민 대표이사가 사내이사로 선임된 직후의 원 포인트 인사였다.

이 상무를 경영지원본부장에 앉힌 것은 김종민 대표이사의 선택이다.그는 지난 4월 남준 상무의 사임 이후 3개월째 공석이던 핵심 보직을 이 상무에게 맡겼다.

이 상무의 경영지원본부장 선임은 이례적이라는 평가다.이 상무는 옛 PCA투신운용,로열 앤트워프 fc 선수기은SG자산운용(현 IBK자산운용)에서 채권분석 업무를 맡았고,로열 앤트워프 fc 선수이후 대신증권과 메리츠종금증권에서도 채권운용과 심사분석 업무를 줄곧 맡아왔다.지난해에는 심사기획팀장으로 전문임원을 맡을 정도로 신용 분석과 심사 업무 한길을 자본시장 전문가다.

자본시장 전문가인 이 상무보에게 인사·총무라는 경영관리 업무를 맡긴 것은 김 대표이사의 신뢰없이는 불가능한 일이다.김 대표이사와 이 상무는 서강대학교 동문이면서 크레딧 애널리스트로 같은 시기에 활동했다.이 상무를 처음 메리츠증권으로 스카웃한 길기모 대신증권 부사장과 함께 국내 크레딧 애널리스트 1세대라고 할 수 있다.

두 사람의 인연은 김 대표이사가 메리츠화재 자산운용 책임자(CIO)로 있으면서 간접적으로 이어졌다가,로열 앤트워프 fc 선수김 대표이사가 메리츠증권 대표이사로 오면서 완전히 맺어졌다.김 대표이사가 투자은행(IB) 부문과 경영관리를 맡으면서 이 상무에게 경영지원 업무를 맡길 수 있게 된 것이다.

김 대표의 전폭적인 신임 아래 이 상무는 경영지원실의 리더 역할을 톡톡히 할 것으로 전망돼 업계의 시선이 집중되고 있다.
