한화에어로스페이스가 흩어져 있던 항공엔진 사업 부문을 통합한다.차세대 무인기와 국산 전투기 엔진의 자체 개발 역량을 강화하기 위한 조치로 풀이된다.

1일 업계에 따르면 한화에어로스페이스는 이달부로 엔진부품사업부와 항공사업부,내일 월드컵 예선미래항공연구소를 통합한‘항공엔진사업부’통합 조직을 출범한다.

항공엔진사업부 부사장 자리에는 전태원 엔진부품사업부장이 선임된 것으로 알려졌다.전 부사장 아래 글로벌 최고사업책임자(CCO)와 군수사업담당은 각각 알렉스 구루프라사드와 김경원 상무가 선임됐다.글로벌 OEM사 군과의 관계 구축과 수주·영업 전략수립·수행 등을 맡는다.

최고운영책임자(COO)인 남형욱 전무는 국내외 전 사업장의 구매부터 품질·엔지니어링·생산 기능을 총괄할 예정이다.아직 내정되지 않은 최고관리기술자(CTO) 중심으로는 국내외 연구소와 소재사업추진단,내일 월드컵 예선첨단엔진사업단이 꾸려진다.한국연구소 산하에는 항공엔진·기반기술·항공시스템 연구센터를 둔다.

회사는 이번 조직 개편으로 항공엔진 사업의 주요 기능별 운영 효율화에 나선다는 계획이다.
