(서울=연합뉴스) 이슬기 기자 = 한국전력은 김동철 사장이 지난 10일부터 사흘간 베트남을 방문해 베트남전력공사(EVN)와 신기술·신사업 협력을 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하고,2024 프로야구 아라베트남 주요 인사를 면담했다고 12일 밝혔다.

한전과 EVN은 기후위기에 대응하기 위한 신기술 및 차세대 전력망 구축 등의 신사업 분야에서 협력하기로 했다.

김 사장은 베트남 주요 인사 면담 등에서 지능형 디지털 발전소(IDPP),송변전 예방진단 시스템(SEDA),차세대 배전망 운영시스템(ADMS) 등 신기술 연구성과 및 실증 사례를 소개했다.

아울러 한전은 베트남 내 한전 최초 발전사업인 응이손 발전소가 있는 탱화성 정부와 신규 사업 협력 기회를 발굴하기 위한 사업의향서를 교환했다.

한전은 현재 베트남 내에서 총 2천400㎿(메가와트) 발전사업을 건설·운영하고 있다.이는 베트남 민간 발전사업의 약 7.3% 수준으로,하노이를 포함해 베트남 북부 지역 전력수요의 상당 부분을 책임지고 있다.

한전은 "향후 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영 및 탄소배출 저감을 위해 에너지 신기술,2024 프로야구 아라신재생에너지 등 친환경 사업 기회를 적극 모색할 계획"이라고 밝혔다.
