LG이노텍이 차량 센싱 솔루션 사업에 속도를 내고 있다.24일 문혁수 LG이노텍 대표는 "모바일 카메라 모듈 사업에서 터득한 1등 성공 방정식을 바탕으로 차량 센싱 솔루션 사업을 2030년까지 연 매출 2조원 규모로 육성할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

LG이노텍은 라이다(LiDAR)와 카메라 모듈 등으로 이뤄진 첨단운전자보조시스템(ADAS)·자율주행(AD) 센싱 솔루션 사업을 강화할 방침이다.특히 LG이노텍은 고성능 라이다를 핵심 축으로 삼고 있다.이달 초에는 최고경영자(CEO) 직속으로 라이다 사업담당을 신설했다.광학솔루션사업부와 최고기술책임자(CTO) 산하에 흩어져 있던 라이다 개발·사업 조직을 한곳에 모은 것이다.

LG이노텍 관계자는 "라이다 사업을 직접 챙기고 역량을 집결하겠다는 문 대표의 의지가 작용했다"며 "지난해 미국 자율주행 스타트업으로부터 라이다 특허 77건을 인수하기도 했다"고 밝혔다.시장조사기관 욜인텔리전스는 라이다 시장이 2030년엔 112억달러(약 16조원)까지 성장할 것이라고 전망했다.

차량용 카메라 모듈 역량 강화에도 나섰다.LG이노텍은 올해 초 대만 AOE옵트로닉스와 지분투자 계약을 맺었다.렌즈 제조 기업인 AOE와 함께 자율주행용 카메라와 확장현실(XR)용 광학부품 시장 공략에 나선 것이다.지난 2월에는 히팅 카메라 모듈도 선보였다.LG이노텍 관계자는 "카메라 모듈 크기를 유지하면서도 히터 기능이 추가 탑재됐다"라고 말했다.
