경비함정을 도입하며 성능을 낮춰 발주하고 제조업체로부터 뇌물을 수수한 혐의를 받는 김홍희 전 해양경찰청장이 불구속 상태로 검찰에 넘겨졌습니다.

서울경찰청 광역수사단 반부패수사대는 지난 5월 직권남용 권리행사 방해 혐의와 뇌물수수 혐의로 김 전 청장을 불구속 송치했다고 밝혔습니다.

김 전 청장은 지난 2020년부터 2021년까지 해경청장으로 재직할 당시,풋살러스경비함정 입찰 과정에서 선박엔진 제조업체로부터 약 3천7백만 원에 이르는 금품을 받은 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

경찰은 뇌물수수 혐의를 받는 전 해경 장비기획과장 이 모 씨와 해경 관계자 2명,풋살러스선박 엔진 제조업체 관계자 2명도 불구속 송치했습니다.

지난 4월 경찰은 김 전 청장과 이 전 과장에 대해 구속영장을 신청했지만,풋살러스법원에서 기각됐습니다.
