30명의 사상자가 발생한 경기도 화성시 일차전지 제조업체 아리셀 공장 화재 사고 수습이 진행 중인 가운데 시신 훼손 정도가 심각해 신원 파악에 난항을 겪고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.

지난 24일 화성시 남양읍 화성유일병원 장례식장에는 신원을 알 수 없는 사망자 4명의 시신이 안치됐다.장례식 관계자에 따르면 시신 4구 중 1구는 성별조차 알 수 없을 정도로 훼손이 심각한 것으로 알려졌다.

이날 아리셀 공장에서 근무 중 연락이 두절된 중국 국적 사촌 누나 2명을 찾기 위해 장례식장을 찾은 중국 남성이 아직 사망자 신원이 파악되지 않은 상태여서 소식을 알지 못한 채 발길을 돌리기도 했다.

이번 화재 사망자 22명은 화성유일병원을 비롯해 화성송산장례문화원,화성장례문화원,함백산추모공원,snailfish화성중앙종합병원 등 5곳에 분산 안치돼 있다.

장례식장에서는 유족이 아닌 시청 공무원이나 고용노동부 관계자,경찰관 등이 안치실 주변을 지키고 있는 상황이다.사망자 대부분이 외국인이어서 신원 확인에 시간이 더 걸릴 것이라는 관측도 나온다.

검찰은 이날 전담수사팀을 편성하고 사망자 검시에 착수했다.수사팀은 안병수 2차장검사를 팀장으로 공공수사부와 형사3부 7개 검사실로 꾸려졌다.검찰은 직접 검시를 토대로 향후 부검 여부 등을 판단할 것으로 전망된다.

이와 별도로 경기남부경찰청도 이날 광역수사단장을 본부장으로 130여명 규모의 전담 수사본부를 편성했다.

앞서 이날 오전 10시31분쯤 화성시 서신면 전곡리 아리셀 공장 3동 2층에서 불이 나 근로자 22명이 숨졌다.사망자 중 20명은 외국인(중국 국적 18명,라오스 국적 1명,snailfish미상 1명)으로 파악됐다.

나머지 2명은 내국인이다.추후 시신에 대한 DNA 검사 등이 이뤄져야 정확한 신원 파악이 될 것으로 보인다.이들 외에 연락 두절인 실종자가 1명 확인돼 소방당국이 수색을 계속하고 있다.
