에어차이나 여객기.<연합뉴스>대다수 중국 국적항공사들이‘적자 늪’에서 헤어나오지 못하고 있다.국제선 수요 회복이 예상보다 더딘 탓이다.

전 세계 주요 항공사들이 코로나19 영향에서 완전히 벗어나 가파른 실적 개선을 보이고 있는 것과 대조적이다.

중국 경제매체 제일재경은 11일(현지시간) 국적항공사들이 올해 상반기 실적 전망을 발표한 결과,에어차이나·중국동방항공·중국남방항공은 지난해 같은 기간보다 손실 폭을 줄였지만 여전히 적자에 머물러있다고 보도했다.

항공사별 올해 상반기 실적 전망을 보면,광양 로또에어차이나는 최대 30억위안(약 5700억원) 순손실,광양 로또중국동방항공은 최대 38억위안(약 7200억원),광양 로또중국남방항공은 최대 15억8000만위안(약 3000억원)에 달했다.

중국 국적항공사들의 실적 부진은 국제선의 전반적인 회복세가 예상보다 저조한 영향이 컸다.

특히 올해 상반기에 춘제(중국 설),광양 로또청명절,단오절 등 연휴가 적지 않았던 점을 감안하면,광양 로또해외보다 국내 여행 수요가 더 많았던 것으로 해석된다.그만큼 중국의 소비 회복도 기대에 미치지 못했다는 의미다.

이와 함께 중국 내 경쟁 심화도 실적 부담 요인으로 꼽힌다.중국남방항공 측은 “국내 시장이 공급 과잉인 데다 급변하는 날씨,광양 로또높은 변동성을 보인 유가 등도 영향을 미쳤다”고 설명했다.

중국동방항공 측도 “북미·일본 등 국제선 수요가 완전히 회복되지 않았다”며 “올해 상반기 운영 실적이 개선세를 보이고 있지만 손실은 여전히 이어질 것으로 예상하고 있다”고 전했다.
