센서타워 보고서…"中 한 달 매출이 韓 2년여 매출보다 커"

5월 21일 이후 한달간 전 세계 모바일 게임 매출 순위

(서울=연합뉴스) 김주환 기자 = 넥슨이 지난달 중국 시장에 정식 출시한 모바일 게임 '던전앤파이터 모바일'이 중국에서의 큰 반응에 힘입어 전 세계 모바일 게임 매출 순위 1위에 오른 것으로 나타났다.

앱 마켓 시장조사 업체 센서타워는 25일 보고서를 내고 '던전앤파이터 모바일'이 지난 5월 21일 출시 이래 이달 20일까지 한 달 동안 중국 시장에서 약 2억7천만달러(약 3천700억원)의 매출을 기록했다며 이같이 밝혔다.

이 같은 액수는 '던전앤파이터 모바일'이 한국 시장에서 2년 3개월 동안 올린 누적 매출을 넘어서는 수치다.

센서타워는 "해당 매출이 한국 시장과 달리 중국 iOS 시장만을 집계한 액수임을 감안하면 더욱 놀라운 성과"라고 덧붙였다.

'던전앤파이터 모바일'의 원작이 된 '던전앤파이터'는 2008년 중국 시장에 진출해 전 세계 기준 8억5천만명의 누적 이용자 수를 기록하며 흥행에 성공한 바 있다.

넥슨은 텐센트게임즈와 '던전앤파이터 모바일' 퍼블리싱 계약을 맺고 올해 2월 판호(版號·중국 내 게임 서비스 허가)를 취득해 중국 시장에 게임을 출시했다.

센서타워는 "원작을 즐기던 현지 팬들의 향수를 자극해 출시 초기 끌어들이는 데 성공했음을 보여준다"며 "원작 서비스를 통해 입증된 텐센트게임즈의 퍼블리싱 경험도 성과에 큰 힘이 됐다"고 분석했다.
