(부산=뉴스1) 조아서 기자 = 부산대는 지난 12일 영국의 글로벌 대학평가기관인 THE(Times Higher Education)가 발표한 '2024 THE 세계대학 영향력평가(Impact Rankings)'에서 종합순위 세계 대학 67위,아약스 셔틀콕국내 대학 4위에 올랐다고 13일 밝혔다.

지난해 세계 대학 201~300위에서 대폭 상승한 기록으로,아약스 셔틀콕평가 참여 5년 만에 세계‘TOP 100’대학에 진입했다.

2019년부터 실시되고 있는 'THE 세계대학 영향력평가'는 UN의 지속가능발전목표(Sustainable Development Goals,아약스 셔틀콕SDGs) 항목을 기준으로 대학의 사회적 책무 이행도를 평가한다.

평가항목은 △빈곤 퇴치 △기아 종식 △건강과 웰빙 △양질의 교육 △양성 평등 △깨끗한 물과 위생 △청정 에너지 △양질의 일자리와 경제성장 등 17개 세부항목으로 구성된다.이는 교육과 연구 중심의 통상적 대학평가와는 차별화된다.

올해 발표한 '2024 THE 세계대학 영향력평가' 순위에는 전 세계 125개국 2152개 대학이 참여했으며,아약스 셔틀콕국내에서는 부산대를 포함해 총 24개 대학이 랭크됐다.
