A씨가 훼손한 현수막엔 이날 오후‘제주퀴어프라이드’행사를 여는 것과 동성애를 반대하는 내용이 담겼다.

경찰은 A씨를 재물손괴 혐의로 입건해 조사하고 있다.

2024제주퀴어프라이드 집행위원회는 이날 오후부터 자구리문화예술공원 일대에서 제5회 제주퀴어프라이드 행사를 진행했다.인근에서는 성소수자 행사 개최와 동성애를 반대하는 교육·종교·지역 단체 관계자들의 맞불 집회가 열렸다.

경찰은 두 집회 참가자들 간 충돌을 방지하기 위해 경찰력을 대거 배치했다.
