27일 이해인은 YTN과 인터뷰에서 "강제추행 피해를 주장하는 후배 A씨와 연인사이였다"고 주장했다.

그는 "사귀던 사이 있었던 일인데 그 일을 성추행이라고 보도하는 기사를 보고 마음이 많이 아프고 괴로웠다"며 "성적 가해 행위나 성추행은 전혀 없었고 사실이 아니라고 말씀드리고 싶다"고 심경을 밝혔다.

음주에 대해서는 "전지훈련 중 술을 마신 것은 명백한 저의 잘못이었다.정말 죄송하다는 말씀을 꼭 전한다"고 전했다.

이해인의 법률대리인 김가람 변호사도 이에 대해 "연인 관계에서 있었던 가벼운 스킨십이었다.이 사실을 충분히 소명하고 이해인 선수가 잘못한 부분에 대해서는 선처를 구할 예정"이라고 말했다.

지난 19일 대한빙상경기연맹은 스포츠공정위원회를 열어 이해인에게 미성년자인 이성 후배를 성추한 혐의 등으로 자격정지 3년 중징계를 내렸다.
