'아리셀은 SK 자회사' 중국 일부 매체 보도에 반박

[베이징=뉴시스]화성 화재와 관련해 SK차이나가 낸 입장문.(사진=SK차이나 위챗 계정 갈무리) 2024.6.25 [베이징=뉴시스]박정규 특파원 = 23명의 사망자를 낸 화성 화재 참사와 관련해 SK그룹의 중국 현지법인이 이번 사고는 자사와 무관하다는 점을 강조했다.

SK차이나는 이날 소셜미디어(SNS) 공식 계정을 통해 입장문을 내고 "어제 경기 화성시에서 화재가 발생한 아리셀은 SK그룹과 아무런 관련이 없다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "우리는 해당 사고에 대해 깊은 슬픔을 느낀다"며 "희생자들에게 깊은 애도를 표한다"고 덧붙였다.

이번 사고와 관련해 중국의 일부 매체에서 사고가 난 아리셀이 SK의 자회사라는 보도가 나오자 반박 입장을 내놓은 것이다.

이날 현지 매체인 진룽제는 "아리셀은 SK그룹 산하 리튬배터리 제조사로 SK이노베이션과 SKIET가 합작해 2020년 설립했다"고 보도했다.

앞서 경기 화성의 일차전지 공장에서 발생한 사고로 23명이 사망하고 8명의 부상자가 발생했다.사망자 중 외국인이 18명을 차지한 이 가운데 중국이 17명으로 가장 많았다.
