심해 가스전 개발과 관련해 명확한 답변을 하기 위해 한국을 찾았다고 밝혔습니다.

동해 심해 석유 가스 매장을 분석한 비토르 아브레우 미국 액트지오 고문이 오늘 오전 인천공항을 통해 입국했습니다.

아브레우 박사는 심해 유전 개발과 관련해 한국에 많은 의문이 제기돼 방한을 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

"매우 중요한 프로젝트에 대해서 어떻게 하면 한국 국민들께 더 나은,프리미어리그 개인 득점순위더 명확한 설명을 해드릴 수 있을지 논의해보려고 왔습니다."

동해 심해 가스전의 경제성이 높은 것으로 보이느냐는 질문에는 "그렇다"고 하면서도 다만 비밀 유지협약 때문에 자세히 말할 수 없다고 설명했습니다.

아브레우 고문은 앞서 일부 언론과의 인터뷰에서 액트지오의 신뢰도에 대한 의문에 대해 "규모는 작지만 심해 탐사에 특화된 컨설팅 회사라면서 업계에서 높은 인지도를 갖고 있다"고 반박했습니다.

아브레우 고문은 국내에서 석유공사와 정부 관계자들을 만난 뒤 오는 금요일 공개 기자회견을 열 계획입니다.
