서울북부지법 형사3부(부장판사 이동식)는 14일 업무방해 및 공무집행 방해 혐의로 재판에 넘겨진 박 전 구청장에 대한 항소심에서 1심과 같이 벌금 700만원을 선고했다.

재판부는 "피고인과 검찰 모두 양형부당을 이유로 항소했으나 1심의 형이 너무 무겁거나 가볍다고 보지 않는다"며 양형 이유를 설명했다.

앞서 1심 재판부는 "피고인 스스로 전직 구청장임을 내세우며 경찰관에게 본인 앞에 무릎 꿇고 사과하라고 한 점은 시대에 맞지 않는다"며 벌금 700만원을 선고했다.이에 박 전 구청장과 검찰은 모두 항소한 바 있다.

박 전 구청장은 지난해 1월 12일 술에 취해 택시에서 요금을 내지 않고 기사와 실랑이를 벌이고 인근 파출소에서 경찰관 2명을 밀치는 등 폭행한 혐의를 받는다.

그는 당시 택시 기사와 경찰관에게 "내가 전 강북구청장"이라며 "내가 누군지 알고 이러느냐"고 말한 것으로 드러났다.

박 전 구청장은 1995년 강북구의원,메시 2026 월드컵1998년 서울시의원을 지냈다.
