[앵커]

어제(8일) 저녁 광주광역시 도심 유흥가에서 벌어진 흉기 난동으로,골스1명이 숨지고 1명이 크게 다쳤습니다.

경찰은 유흥업소 인력공급 업체들끼리의 이권 다툼으로 보고 수사를 벌이고 있습니다.

[리포트]

금요일 저녁 광주광역시 도심의 번화가.

한 남성이 갑자기 주변의 남성에게 달려들어 흉기로 공격합니다.

이 모습을 목격한 행인들이 깜짝 놀라 달아납니다.

이 남성은 자신을 향해 다가오는 다른 남성에게도 흉기를 휘두릅니다.

거리는 순식간에 아수라장이 된 가운데 피해자 2명은 병원으로 옮겨졌지만 1명은 숨지고 1명은 크게 다쳤습니다.

[목격자/음성변조 : "사람 한 명(은) 찔려서 누워 있고 사람들은 119 부르거나…경찰 오고 구급차 와서 다 진압하고 실어가고 그다음 과학수사대 오고."]

피의자는 57살 김 모 씨로 현장에서 긴급체포됐습니다.

경찰은 유흥업소 인력 공급업체를 운영하던 김 씨가 상대업체 관계자들과 이권 다툼을 벌이다 범행을 저지른 것으로 보고 있습니다.

이날도 한쪽 세력이 다른 한쪽을 비판하기 위해 집회 신고를 했고 특정세력을 비난하는 내용의 현수막도 내걸려 있었습니다.

[상인/음성변조 : "며칠 전부터 확성기로 ○○협회 해체하라고 한 사람이 와서 차에 현수막 걸고 막 데모하듯이 (시끄러웠습니다)."]

경찰은 김 씨를 상대로 살해 동기 등 사건 경위를 조사하는 한편 살인 등의 혐의로 구속영장을 신청했습니다.
