강형구 전남 순천시의원이 제9대 후반기 순천시의회 더불어민주당 의장 후보로 선출됐다.

더불어민주당은 28일 순천상공회의소 5층 콘퍼런스홀에서 제9대 순천시의회 후반기 의장과 부의장 후보,원내대표 선출을 위한 의원총회를 개최했다.

4선 강형구,3선 박계수,재선 이영란 의원이 의장 후보로 나섰으며,공식 출마를 선언했던 나안수 부의장은 불출마했다.

경선은 민주당 소속 시의원 20명이 전원 참석한 가운데 강 의원이 12표를 얻어 의장 후보로 선출됐다.박계수 의원과 이영란 의원은 각각 4표를 받았다.

강 의원은 의장 선거에서 4선인 이복남 의원(무소속)과 최종 경합을 벌일 것으로 예상된다.

순천시의회는 오는 7월 1일부터 이틀간 제279회 임시회를 열어 의장 1명,db 스캔부의장 1명,db 스캔상임위원장 4명을 선출하고 후반기 원구성을 마무리할 계획이다.
