서울 지하철 2호선 열차 안에서 흉기를 휘두른 50대에게 항소심에서도 징역형이 선고됐다.

서울고법 형사7부(이재권 송미경 김슬기 부장판사)는 12일 특수상해 혐의로 구속기소된 홍모(52)씨에게 1심과 같은 징역 2년을 선고하고 치료감호를 명령했다.

사건 당시 정신질환을 앓은 점이 고려됐다.치료감호란 범죄자의 심신 장애가 인정될 경우 시설에 수용해 치료를 위한 조치를 하는 보안처분을 말한다.

홍씨는 지난해 8월 19일 낮 12시 30분께 서울 지하철 2호선 이대역에서 신촌역으로 향하던 열차 안에서 칼날이 달린 캠핑 도구를 휘둘러 20대 2명에게 상처를 입힌 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌다.

재판부는 "억울한 사정이 있는지 다시 한번 면밀하게 검토해봤는데 유죄를 인정한 원심은 정당하다"고 판결했다.
