과학기술정보통신부는 오늘(25일)부터 사흘간 경기 고양시 킨텍스 제2전시장에서 국내 최대 양자기술 국제행사 '퀀텀 코리아 2024'를 개최한다고 밝혔습니다.

올해 퀀텀 코리아 행사는 '양자과학기술로 느끼고(sensing),사고하고(computing),소통하는(communication),양자로 연결되는 세상'이라는 의미를 담은 'QUANTUM CONNECT : Feel,힐 토트넘Think and Talk in Quantum'의 주제 아래 국제학술 콘퍼런스,주제별 융합 세션(Quantum+),힐 토트넘연구-산업 전시회,양자정보경진대회,대중강연 등 다채로운 내용으로 개최된다고 과기정통부는 소개했습니다.

오늘(25일) 열린 개막식에는 국회 고동진 인공지능(AI)·반도체 특별위원장,힐 토트넘대통령실 박상욱 과학기술수석 등 산학연 연구자 500여 명이 참여했습니다.

행사 기간 양자 컴퓨팅·알고리즘,양자광학·통신,양자센서·계측 등 7개 전문 세션으로 구성된 학술 콘퍼런스가 열리고 국내 출연(연),주요 대학,KT,SK텔레콤,LG유플러스 등 통신 3사,메가존클라우드,SDT 등 중견·중소기업,프랑스 파스칼(PASQAL),미국 아이비엠(IBM)·아이온큐(IonQ),큐에라(QuEra),힐 토트넘스위스 취리히 인스트루먼츠(Zurich Instruments),힐 토트넘이스라엘 퀀텀 머신(Quantum Machines) 등 11개국 62개 기업·기관이 전시회를 개최합니다.

이종호 과기정통부 장관은 황판식 연구개발정책실장이 대독한 환영사를 통해 "정부는 지난해 10월 양자기술산업법 제정으로 국가 양자 거버넌스를 구축하고,올해 4월 '퀀텀 이니셔티브'를 발표했다"며 "양자과학기술 및 산업 생태계를 확장하기 위한 투자와 지원을 강화해 나가고 있다"고 강조했습니다.
