러시아 당국이 우크라이나 오데사에서 서방이 지원한 패트리엇 방공망 미사일 포대 2대를 파괴했다고 주장했다.

7일(현지시간) 러시아 국영 통신사 타스에 따르면 러시아 국방부는 이날 텔레그램을 통해 이스칸데르 탄도미사일이 우크라이나 오데사의 패트리엇 포대 2대를 공격했다며 이같이 밝혔다.

국방부는 해안선 근처에서 식별하기 어려운 물체가 폭발하는 영상을 함께 게시했다.

이날 공격은 오데사 유즈네 항구 지역에서 발생했으며 레이더 기지도 함께 파괴된 것으로 알려졌다.다만 공격이 발생한 정확한 시점은 밝혀지지 않았다.

로이터통신은 이 같은 러시아의 주장을 확인할 수 없었다고 보도했다.

우크라이나 측은 러시아가 이스칸데르 탄도미사일 두 발로 공격했다고 밝혔으나 이후 목표물 타격 여부에 대해서는 입장을 내지 않았다.

앞서 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령은 우크라이나에 최소 7대의 패트리엇 포대가 추가로 필요하다며 지원을 촉구하고 나섰다.이에 지난달 미국은 우크라이나에 패트리엇 포대를 추가로 보낼 것이라고 발표했으며 동맹국에 대한 패트리엇 방공 미사일 인도를 일시 중단하고 우크라이나에 이를 우선 지원할 것이라고 밝혔다.

현재 우크라이나에는 최소 3대의 패트리엇 포대가 있다.
