A씨는 이날 오전 8시 30분께 평택시 안중읍 소재 아파트 지하 주차장에서 50대 B씨의 얼굴과 목 부위 등을 흉기로 여러 차례 찔러 살해하려 한 혐의를 받고 있다.

A씨는 범행 후 112에 전화를 걸어 "내가 사람을 죽였다"고 신고했다.

출동한 경찰은 사건 현장에 있던 A씨를 붙잡았다.

B씨는 119구급대원들에 의해 응급처치를 받은 뒤 헬기로 권역외상센터가 있는 아주대병원으로 이송됐다.

B씨는 출혈이 매우 심한 상태인 것으로 알려졌다.

A씨는 "B씨와 오랫동안 사귀었다"는 취지로 진술했다.

경찰은 이런 진술에 미뤄 A씨가 연인인 B씨를 살해하려 한 '관계성 범죄'인 것으로 보고 있다.

두 사람 간 폭행 등의 신고 이력은 지금까지 확인된 것이 없다.

경찰은 A씨를 상대로 조사를 마친 뒤 구속영장을 신청할 방침이다.
