(서울=뉴스1) 남해인 기자 = 면허취소 수준의 음주를 한 30대 남성 오토바이 운전자가 도로 공사 현장으로 돌진해 1명이 숨지고 4명이 다쳤다.

19일 서울 중랑경찰서에 따르면 이날 오전 9시 16분쯤 중랑구 면목동 일대 도로의 하수관 배관공사 현장을 지나던 오토바이 운전자 A 씨(33)가 공사 현장 근로자 1명과 보행자 4명을 쳤다.

신고를 받고 출동한 경찰은 현장에서 음주 측정을 실시했다.그 결과 당시 A 씨의 혈중알코올농도는 면허취소 수준(0.08% 이상)이었다.

보행자 중 1명은 중상을 입어 인근 병원으로 이송됐으나 끝내 사망했다.근로자 1명과 보행자 3명은 다행히 크게 다치지 않았다.

경찰은 현장에서 A 씨를 체포해 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률로 수사하고 있다.

경찰 관계자는 "자세한 사고 원인은 현장 주변 폐쇄회로(CC)TV와 차량 블랙박스를 확인해 밝힐 예정"이라고 말했다.
