뇌물 돌려준 조합장은 기소대상서 제외…경찰,무료 온라인 포커횡령 등 별건 수사

(광주=연합뉴스) 박철홍 기자 = 지역 단위 농협 직원 또는 임시직 부모 등이 조합장 측에게 인사 청탁하며 수천만 원을 뇌물로 준 혐의로 집행유예를 선고받았다.

광주지법 형사10단독 나상아 판사는 14일 뇌물공여 혐의로 기소된 A(50)씨 등 피고인 4명에 대해 징역 4개월~1년 6개월에 집행유예 2년을 선고했다.

또 각 피고인에게 뇌물 공여 액수인 1천만~6천만원을 추징했다.

광주의 모 단위농협 직원인 A씨는 2019년 해당 농협의 B 조합장의 배우자에게 승진을 청탁하며 현금 6천만원이 든 사과 상자를 전달한 혐의로 기소됐다.

다른 피고인들은 임원 승진을 청탁한 지점장,무료 온라인 포커자녀의 계약직 채용을 청탁한 어머니와 아버지 등이다.

나 판사는 "승진 또는 채용을 청탁할 목적으로 조합장에게 뇌물을 공여한 죄질은 나쁘다"면서도 "조합장이 공무원에 의제되는 사람이지만,무료 온라인 포커실제 공무원을 대상으로 한 뇌물 범죄와의 차이를 고려해 집행유예를 선고한다"고 밝혔다.

이에 앞서 B 조합장에게 손자 취업을 청탁해 별도 기소된 70대 피고인도 징역 10개월에 집행유예 2년을 선고받았다.

B 조합장 측은 인사청탁자들에게 받은 뇌물을 되돌려줘 이번 사건 기소에서 제외됐다.

다만 광주경찰청은 인사 관련 뇌물 수수 범죄 외에도 B 조합장의 횡령,무료 온라인 포커정부 훈장 매수 등 다수의 범죄 혐의를 포착하고 B 조합장을 불구속 입건해 수사하고 있다.
