27일 과기정통부-스테이지엑스 청문 진행제4이동통신사에 도전했다가 주파수 할당 취소 처분을 받은 스테이지엑스가 마지막 갈림길에 놓였다.

과학기술정보통신부는 27일 오후 스테이지엑스의 주파수 할당 취소 관련 청문을 진행한다.청문은 서울 마포구 모처에서 열린다.

이날 청문은 최종 행정처분 전 사업자의 의견을 듣기 위한 절차이며 과기정통부가 선임한 변호사가 주재한다.청문 주재자가 최종 의견을 담은 조서를 제출하면 이를 기반으로 과기정통부가 최종결정을 내리게 된다.

청문 시작에 앞서 청문 주재를 맡은 송도영 법무법인비트 변호사는 "공정하게 잘 진행하도록 하겠다"고 밝혔다.

스테이지엑스는 청문 과정에서 최선을 다해 소명한다는 입장이다.서상원 스테이지엑스 대표는 청문에 입장하기 전 "최선을 다해서 소명할 예정"이라며 "끝나고 말씀드릴게 있으면 말하겠다"고 말을 아꼈다.

앞서 과기정통부는 지난 14일 스테이지엑스의 제4 이동통신사업자 선정을 취소한다고 발표했다.필요서류 제출인 5월7일까지 약속한 2천50억원의 자본금이 납입되지 않았고,대구 월드컵 예식장주파수할당신청서 제출 당시 기재한 주주 구성 및 주주별 주식 소유 비율이 다르다는 점 등을 취소 사유로 제시했다.
