최근 대구 중구청 공무원들이 치킨집 갑질 논란으로 해당 업주가 폐업을 결정하는 등 사회적 물의를 일으켰는데요.

이번에는 중구청 산하기관 직원들이 시간외 근무수당을 과도하게 청구한 사실이 행정사무감사에서 적발됐습니다.

박준우 기자입니다.

대구 중구 봉산문화회관,생활 룰렛중구청 산하 기관인 도심재생문화재단이 운영하고 있습니다.

최근 중구의회 행정사무감사에서 봉산문화회관 일부 직원들이 지난해 7월부터 지난달까지 초과근무 수당을 과도하게 챙겼다는 지적이 나왔습니다.

공무원 6급 상당의 조명감독 A 씨는 지난달 급여로 644만 원을 받았는데 이 중 시간외 근무 수당이 154만 원이나 됐습니다.

전체 급여의 23%입니다.

공연기획자 B씨는 휴일에 출근해 11시간씩 근무하면서 한 달 최대 72시간의 시간외 근무를 올렸습니다.

탄력 근무제를 도입한 다른 자치단체 소속 문화재단과는 달리 직원들이 통상근무를 하면서 상한선 없이 시간외 근무 수당을 청구한 겁니다.

[김동현/대구 중구의회 의원 : "(시간외 근무) 돈을 다 지급해주는 구조로 되어있기 때문에 저희는 다른 지자체랑 비교했을 때 인건비가 굉장히 과도하게 높다…."]

봉산문화회관 측은 사실을 인정하면서도 결원 인력 충원이 늦어지면서 시간외 근무가 늘었다고 해명했습니다.

또 관련 규정을 손보는 등 재발 방지 대책을 마련하겠다고 설명했습니다.

[봉산문화회관 관계자/음성변조 : "문제에 대해서 저희도 인식은 하고 있고 규정이라든지 그런 부분을 조정하는 거는 또 경영본부에서 해야 할 일이다 보니까…."]

구청 직원들의 '치킨집 갑질' 사건에 이어 산하기관 직원의 수당 논란까지….

중구청이 해이해진 공직 기강을 다잡아야 한다는 목소리가 커지고 있습니다.
